7 New Movies and TV Shows to Stream This Weekend on Netflix, Prime Video, HBO Max and More

This weekend, there are several new titles to enjoy on streaming services. Headlining the list of recommendations is Ghosted, an espionage thriller on Apple TV Plus written and directed by Rocketman and Bohemian Rhapsody director Dexter Fletcher, starring Chris Evans and Ana de Armas. In this story, Cole, an old-school romantic falls for the mysterious Sadie, who is a CIA special agent. Sparks fly as this pair embarks on a mission to save the world.

Netflix’s original series The Diplomat directed by writer Debora Cahn stars Keri Russell as an American Ambassador to the UK who quickly gets thrown into a major international crisis. Prime Video’s Dead Ringers, an adaptation of David Cronenberg’s 1988 film starring Rachel Weisz as a pair of genetically identical gynecologists, is also now streaming.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always is now on Netflix, a 30th anniversary special episode reuniting the original cast from the 1990s superhero show. Peacock’s Mrs. Davis is a eight-episode satire exploring powerful yet dangerous Artificial Intelligence chatbots. Lastly, for wildlife enthusiasts, David Attenborough’s new series Wild Isles is available to stream on Prime Video.

Apple TV Plus is a subscription-based streaming service owned by Apple Inc. Launched in November 2019, the platform offers movies, TV shows, and documentaries across multiple apps, across the Apple products. This service offers a 7-days free trial and subscriptions on an individual, family, student and year-long basis.

Chris Evans is an American actor best known for his Marvel superhero roles as Captain America and Human Torch. Evans began his acting career with television roles in 2000 and started his film career in 2001 in Not Another Teen Movie with a supporting role. He has since become a household name, appearing in roles such as Scott Lang in Ant Man and Ghost Rider in Avengers: Endgame.
