Representative Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, and Chairman of the DCDE, expressed the UAE’s ambition for the digital economy to grow faster than the global GDP by more than two and a half times within the next 10 years.

The objectives of the UAE for this growth center around providing golden visas to international software development talent and positioning the UAE as a global leader in artificial intelligence by 2031. The Digital Economy Strategy has been developed to ensure that current government policies, initiatives, and strategies are effective and pro-business. The strategy is expected to double the contribution of the digital economy’s contribution to the UAE’s GDP by 19.4%.

The DCDE is committed to meeting the UAE’s ambitious goals, and collab with other companies to create further innovation in the software development and AI industry. These activities are aimed at making Dubai a preferred international tech hub and attracting the world’s best computer programming talent.

DCDE is a chamber operating under Dubai Chambers that is committed to developing the emirate as a global hub for enterprise and innovation. The aim is to increase business opportunities and public-private collaboration. Another strategy is to introduce a stronger regulatory framework for digital businesses and technologies. As part of this, DCDE is taking proactive steps to ensure that the UAE is at the forefront of the digital industry.
