NEP 2020: Lt Governor Sinha Emphasizes Creative Human Capital for Viksit Bharat

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha underscored the essential role of the National Education Policy (NEP) in fostering a creative and innovative human capital necessary for the development of a progressive India, known as Viksit Bharat. Speaking at a seminar on the ‘National Education Policy 2020‘ at Dalimss Sunbeam School Gandhi Nagar, Ghazipur, the Lt Governor emphasized the NEP’s focus on nurturing students’ creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

During his address on the ‘Contribution of the new National Education Policy in Building Developed India,’ the Lt Governor highlighted the objectives of NEP 2020. He stressed that the policy aims to cultivate individuals who possess not only knowledge and skills but also cognitive abilities, along with deep-rooted Indian values, to contribute to societal growth and the advancement of Viksit Bharat. The Lt Governor highlighted that the policy will provide scientific knowledge, enhance individual personalities for upskilling and reskilling, and create new opportunities aligned with industry requirements.

Moreover, he noted a significant societal awakening after centuries and the introduction of a modern education policy deeply rooted in Indian culture. The Lt Governor highlighted the policy’s emphasis on the extensive use of technology, research, innovation, experiential learning, incorporating advancements like machine learning and artificial intelligence, and fostering start-up incubation centers to drive India’s transformation.

NEP 2020 places a strong emphasis on instilling the true values and teachings of India’s illustrious heritage while equipping students with skills relevant to the fourth industrial revolution. The Lt Governor urged the youth to play a pivotal role in the region’s prosperity and development, leveraging their capabilities to contribute meaningfully to society.
