New Apple Vision Pro Headset Lets You Run Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams in Augmented Reality

Date:

Apple’s new augmented reality headset, the Apple Vision Pro, is set to integrate with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and Teams. The $3,499 device was unveiled at Apple’s WWDC event and promises a more immersive experience, using eye-controlled interfaces. Microsoft Teams will also support Apple’s 3D personas, generated by AI and supported by Zoom and Webex on the Vision Pro’s platform. Other vendors such as Unity and Adobe are also supporting the latest gadget from Apple. Adobe is making Lightroom compatible with the headset to enable photo editing, controlled using the headset’s eye and hand movements. Microsoft appears to have shifted its focus from its AR headset, HoloLens, to its productivity software and services such as Office and cloud computing. The company’s keenness to integrate and support the latest Apple hardware may contribute to its further future. Microsoft is one of the biggest investors in OpenAI, the firm behind ChatGPT, and is investing its models in every product possible.
