Nvidia Partners with Leading Business Groups to Establish State-of-the-Art AI Data Centres in India

US chipmaker Nvidia has teamed up with leading Indian business groups to establish cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) data centres in the country. Shankar Trivedi, Senior Vice President of Enterprise Business at Nvidia, announced the partnership during the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, highlighting the company’s commitment to the Make in India initiative. Trivedi also emphasized the importance of skill development and collaboration with universities and technical institutions in India, stating that the country possesses the scale, talent, data, and unique culture necessary for the success of AI technologies. Furthermore, he praised the growth potential of the semiconductor industry in India and expressed Nvidia’s dedication to supporting it. With India aiming to become a major global hub in semiconductor manufacturing, the central government is actively seeking collaborations with both domestic and international players. Several Indian states have also introduced dedicated semiconductor policies to attract businesses in this sector. The partnership between Nvidia and Indian business groups signifies a significant step towards advancing India’s AI capabilities and strengthening its position in the semiconductor industry.
